To control the complexity of Cloud Computing

The “cloud computing” is an emergent concept which joins together various techniques of virtualisation in order to offer resources of calculation to the request. There exists a broad consensus today on the fact that the Internet of the future will be based on a technology resulting from this concept. However its implementation effective requires the resolution of difficult scientific problems. In particular for PaaS (Platform ace has Service) which seeks to provide a more complete service, energy of the material support to the software platforms, thus allowing the development of dedicated applications. The main aim of the Aeolus project is to attack the scientific problems which must be solved to reduce the gap between the solutions “Infrastructure ace has Service” and the solutions “Platform ace has Service”. In the long term, it is a question of facilitating the development of tools and applications to automate the deployment, reconfiguration as well as the update of farms with variable size of heterogeneous computers. This would make it possible significantly to reduce the costs of distributed and evolutionary architectures which are in the middle of Cloud, thus reducing the costs of maintenance of the PaaS service providers, and facilitating the development of applications sophisticated for the users of IaaS (Infrastructure Ace Service).
